There is something electric and memorable that occurs when followers of Jesus gather together to lift high the name of God. That is exactly what the Night of Worship on Sunday, November 20th is all about. We've made some unique plans and invited some friends to play an extended set of songs that are designed to steer our hearts toward the living God. Come and be a part! Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come. Childcare will be provided!
Baptism
Also included in this evening will be a time of celebration with those who have made a decision to follow Jesus over the last few months at Vinings Church. Baptism is simply an outward symbol of an inward reality.
What it symbolizes is the new life that we walk in when we choose to follow Jesus - our shortcomings, mistakes, and brokenness are all dead and buried through Jesus' excruciating death on our behalf.
Jesus' resurrection means that those who follow him are brought into the fullness of life.
Baptism explains in a powerful a beautiful public demonstration how Jesus' life, death, and resurrection for us 2,000 years ago means so much to us who have made the choice to follow him.
We will be celebrating this great exchange during our Night of Worship at the Crowne Plaza - Atlanta Perimeter NW's indoor pool. If you are interested in being baptized, sign up here!
